CodexCounter prerelease

A local read starts with your choice.

CodexCounter is being prepared to read supported usage snapshots from a local sessions folder you choose. The pane is for recorded information, not a live account connection.

The local source

You choose the sessions folder. The local-file path looks only within that choice for supported recorded usage snapshots and presents a small set of readings: availability, window duration, reset time, and source freshness.

What stays localHow the prerelease path is designed
Selected folderRead only after an explicit choice. Its scoped folder bookmark and app settings are intended to stay on the Mac.
Raw session materialProcessed locally only to locate a supported snapshot. It is not uploaded or presented in the usage pane.
Pane readingShown as a recorded local value with source freshness. The reading is designed to be ephemeral rather than a stored activity history.
Account identityNot established by a local snapshot. The pane does not infer an account or activity on another device.

What this path does not use

Your controls

You can pause local reading, choose the folder again when access changes, or forget the selected source. When a reliable recent snapshot is unavailable, the pane is meant to say so instead of filling the space with a stale number.
